Fire

As my sister and I were coming home this afternoon, coming off the toll road we noticed that the sky was red and once we got out of the car we could smell the hint of smoke. We turned on the news and learned that Poopet, Flat, California is on fire. As of right now four firemen are dead. I couldn't believe it, it reminded me of the San Diego Fires are few years back when ash was falling and we were wondering if our uncle's home wasin danger.

Other than that my sweater is done, I'll be posting before and after pictures when we cut it and what I'll be making for the buttons. My other project is going well, once it gets bigger I'll be posting those pictures.

New Project

So here are two new pictures of a new project that I am working on write now. The yarn is Austermann, I bought two 150 grams from the Yarn Lady, since it was my birthday month I got 10% off which I think is a pretty good deal. I'm expecting some birthday presents from a friend of mine in Japan, I can't wait to get those, I'll be posting those soon.

Picture update

Here are some pictures from yesterday of the dye class I took at Yarn Lady. It was a lot of fun, now I can't wait to make my own designs. Also here is an update on my sweater that I'm making into a cardigean with my sister's help. That's all I can post, I'll be posting more later this week.

Projects

So last weekend I was able to sign up for the Dye class so tomorrow I'll be dyeing my own yarn.
As of my sweater the neck is too small so Emily and I are going to cut the sweater make some button holes and go from there. Right now for the next project I'm working on Bi-color cables jacket from Interweave by Annie Modesitt. It's slowly coming along. I hope this weekend I'll be posting some pictures of the yarn and of my sweater and next project.

Sick

I'm taking a sick day, Sunday I went to the doctors because I'm developing my sister's cold. This morning not getting a better and went back. The doctor gave me more medicine. Now I'm working on my paper but I feel drained and wish I had one more day.

Birthday Surprises

Yesterday was our birthday, we're 24 it doesn't seem possible. I went to the Yarn Lady to get some hepl on a sleeve for the sweater. While there I got a 10 percent discount for the month of Ocotber. So I don't know what I'll buy but we'll see, alsothe Yarn Lady is offering a Dye class for yarn so I'm going to try and sign up the class.

Right now I'm working on a paper and a few things for class. On Tuesday I interviewed Maria Amparo Escandon, she also signed my book! So I am very happy about that.

Well need to get back to work.
